My cockatiel has developed a fetish for toes and will try to 'mate' with them any chance he gets. Socks and shoes don't even seem to bother him. If he can get to them, he will. One day he started with my slipper but quit quickly after realizing my foot wasn't in it.I've read the books that say mature male cockatiels will do this with their perch but what do you do when it's you they are after? I am afraid to have him out around people that don't know him well because I don't know their reaction to him 'doing' my foot. My family and close friend think it is hillarious but I don't.How can I get him to stop or to transfer his desires to something else?
