Open Question: Why did Jason Collins find it necessary to announce he was gay?
Why does there have to be a formal announcement? If one is gay then shouldn't it just be their private life just like if one has a foot fetish or is divorced? It is not anything against gay and lesbians but I wonder why it even needs to be announced other then if asked "are you married" or "do you have a girlfriend".
